It is with very mixed feelings that I announce my
retirement. I have had twenty-two wonderful years at Cromer Public School,
sixteen of them have been in the library.
I have loved teaching the Cromer students and taking them on journies
of discovery into all the wonderful new literature that fabulous Australian
authors and illustrators have produced and will continue to do so for years to
come.
In my fiftieth year of teaching, I believe it is time to
slow down and turn my focus to enjoying my five grandchildren, supporting them
in their schooling and sharing my love of literature with them. I will deeply
miss working in the library and wish every Cromer student exciting and happy reading adventures
with their new librarian.
